Remnants of Celestials passed from the Seraphimic Wars. When powerful Seraphim we’re destroyed, their remains scattered across the vastness of the cosmos planting themselves in the soils of many an orbiting Vehicle and growing into fascinating wildlife that retains some of the characteristics of the Celestial passed.
Straits are native to Expanse, and there are very few of them left. When they were first sighted, they were feared. Rightly so, as their powerful bodies and manipulation of intense rays of light made them a formidable foe. Especially in a Direment (a group of three or more Straits). It was due to Gaia’s influence that the beasts agreed to be domesticated and peaceful to Celestials of the sphere. Now, Straits’ heavy bodies are used to farm acres of Royalillies, the delicious and expensive food-source of the Heavens.
Leaving a Strait on its back will render it helpless. As will blinding one of its many eyes. They also fear a much smaller created named Nifrits, comparable to a prairie dog.
